Job Skills / Requirements

General Responsibilities:

The Operations Supervisor position manages janitorial operations that facilitate the maximization of resources to achieve customer satisfaction, productivity, schedule adherence and economic goals.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Oversee janitorial operations for designated customer sites.
  • Monitor daily work hours to remain within budgetary guidelines.
  • Establish and maintain open lines of communication with Employees.
  •  Ensure proper usage of supplies and equipment through the training and development of employees.
  • Communicates staffing changes to Manager.
  • Assist Manager with Conducting inspections to ensure employees are following procedures and client specific SOP. 
  • Performs routine building inspections through frequent walkthroughs.
  •  Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective mariner in accordance with established company policies to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
  • Assist with interviewing and hiring. 
  • Ensures the accuracy and proper submission of payroll timecards.
  • Submit timely employee change orders.
  • Report any issues, concerns, or discrepancies to Manager.
  • Identify and resolve cleaning issues, make recommendations to management and staff, and promote continuous quality improvement to exceed customer expectations.
  • Order and deliver supplies.
  • Identify TAG opportunities.
  • Conduct safety training sessions with employees and support the manager in ensuring completion of Company STEP training.
  • Enforces and promotes company culture with our DNA and Pillars in mind to ensure we are providing services the Pegasus way. 
  • Assist cleaning staff in duties when necessary.
  • Manage inventory of cleaning equipment and notify Manager of repairs needed.
  • Adhere to company guidelines for employee relations, employee discipline and termination procedures.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities, as required.

 

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years of related experience required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English is preferred. This skill will aid in reporting issues to leadership, conversing with clients, and coordinating with team members.
  • Excellent communication skills (Verbal and Written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Openness to learning new cleaning techniques and understanding how to effectively use company cleaning equipment is required.
  • Must be able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Must be able to work with Microsoft Office software applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Must provide proof of work authorization and pass the E-Verify process.
  • Must be able to provide documentation proving U.S. citizenship or U.S. permanent residency to meet client requirements.
  • Must always align with Pegasus DNA.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment, or medical buildings, and/or other industry buildings, depending on accounts. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This job regularly walks job sites.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position manages all assigned employees of the department and is responsible for leadership, performance management with the discretion of the Operations and Regional Leaders.

 

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to walk several times a day across multiple job sites.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs.
