Accounting Department and Fund Accounting Team Overview:
The Accounting Department is centralized at PEG Companies and serves the various departments across the organization. The Accounting Department is led by the CFO. Various Controllers, Assistant Controllers, and Treasurers manage the various functions across the Accounting Department.
The Corporate Account will report directly to the Accounting Manager and will work closely with core functions, including corporate financial reporting, tax coordination, audit management, and process improvement. This role will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across departments and external partners, including auditors and tax advisors. The Corporate Accounting team is expected to maintain high standards of accuracy, timeliness, and integrity in all financial matters, while driving innovation and efficiency in accounting operations.
Responsibilities:
This position will play a crucial role in Corporate Accounting with responsibilities that include:
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Work with department heads, company presidents, accounting managers/controllers, and others.
- Prepare financial reports in compliance with U.S. GAAP and other standards, where applicable, as they relate to investment companies, principles of consolidation, and fair value measurement.
- Interpret fund and investor governing documents to ensure proper application of terms for investor allocations, management fees, and carried interest.
- Drive continual process improvement through the use and implementation of technology.
- Follow PEG policies and procedures and comply with state and federal laws.

Requirements
Job Requirements:
- Self-Starter
- BA – Accounting, (Working towards a CPA or CMA preferred)
- Accounting Experience preferred.
- The ability to work with people from various backgrounds.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and strong written/verbal communication skills
- Strong understanding of analytics is preferred
- Familiar with online platforms (Asana, Outlook, Microsoft Teams…)
- Analytical, creative, and problem-solving skills
- Willingness and proficiency to do research on historical financial transactions and legal issues.
- Organization & Critical thinking skills
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to tolerate prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing at desk in assigned location.
- Must be able to operate a computer, telephone, and/or keyboard and tolerate prolonged periods performing work using a computer, telephone, and/or keyboard.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Salary Description
- $60,000-$72,000/annually
