Peerless is searching for a highly skilled Mid–Senior Level Software Engineer who can hit the ground running in a fast-paced, secure environment. The ideal candidate will be a Linux-focused technical expert and a go-to resource for the team, capable of managing multiple efforts simultaneously while contributing to the design, development, and sustainment of scalable software solutions. This work is in person in the Dayton Ohio area Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience
Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI
Active Security certification
Strong Experience With Linux Systems (required)
Proficiency in: Linux administration, User and application support, Networking fundamentals, Bash and/or PowerShell scripting
Experience designing, developing, and maintaining scalable software solutions
Experience supporting software development lifecycle (SDLC) and release cycles
Experience performing testing activities (Sprint Testing, FAT, V&V, UAT)
Familiarity with ICD 503 security controls and PCIDS configuration standards
Preferred Qualifications Experience With Windows Administration And System Patching
Experience with SIEM tools, preferably Splunk
Experience supporting DoD or classified environments
Ability to serve as a key technical contributor and team resource
Strong communication and documentation skills
Work Environment On-site position only (secure environment), No remote or telework options available
