Peerless seeks a strategic and experienced Corporate Cybersecurity Engineer to lead enterprise cybersecurity initiatives and oversee Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) compliance efforts. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field 5–7 years of progressive cybersecurity experience, including leadership or senior-level responsibilities Demonstrated experience leading CMMC and/or NIST 800-171 compliance programs Strong hands-on experience with microsoft security technologies (Intune, Defender for Endpoint, Sentinel), VMware vSphere / ESXi virtualization environments, active Directory security and PKI infrastructure Experience developing and maintaining, System Security Plans (SSPs), CMMC control mappings and assessment artifacts, audit logging and SIEM solutions Experience implementing least-privilege access controls and network segmentation Background supporting government contractors or federal agencies CISSP, CISM, or equivalent senior-level cybersecurity certification Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Secret security clearance Preferred Qualifications CMMC Certified Professional (CCP) or Certified Assessor (CCA) Microsoft security certifications (SC-200, SC-300, SC-400) Experience designing Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solutions, application proxy and data loss prevention solutions using Microsoft Purview Experience securing CI/CD pipelines and development environments Prior experience building or leading a cybersecurity team Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, or network consolidation initiatives
