Job Description
Maintain Preventive Maintenance Program on all of the company's machinery, the physical plant and all material handling equipment.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Associates Degree or equivalent training
Experience/Skills:
- Minimum of five years of broad based manufacturing maintenance experience in any machinery industry.
- Must have Electrical experience
- Preventive Maintenance experience a plus.
- Bi-lingual speaking English and Spanish is preferred but not required
- Effective writing skills
- Good communication skills
- Read building blue prints and machine schematics
- Ability to lift, push or pull up to 30 lbs. without assistance
ESSENTIAL RESULTS:
- Maintain all production machinery including punch presses, brake presses, hydraulic and mechanical presses.
- Maintain the physical plant, forklift equipment and other propane and electric material handling machinery.
- Ability to work at different height levels – most are done at the floor level, but there are occasions when a scissor lift, ladder or other tools will be available to assist with certain jobs.
- Perform heavier duties (greater than 50 lbs) by utilizing fork lifts, scissor lifts or team lifting
- Perform light carpentry, plumbing and ladder work as required.
- Construct 120, 220 and 440 volt electrical systems with single and three phase power circuits as required.
- Implement work improvement programs by conferring with manufacturing and engineering management.
- Maintain permits and compliance with any local and national environmental agencies.
- Other duties as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Must be able to work overtime, including weekends as needed.
- Must be physically capable of standing/bending/stooping/squeezing 8 hour shift(s)
- Must be able to lift, carry and/or move up to 30 lbs. without assistance. Anything above 30 lbs. requires a team lift (Floor to waist, waist to shoulder, above shoulders and head).
- Must have to work in non-dust, non-climate-controlled areas.
- Must be able to wear required safety PPE.
