Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Property Manager role based in West Orange, NJ. The Property Manager will oversee day-to-day operations of multifamily properties, including tenant relations, lease administration, unit turns, and coordination with maintenance and construction teams. Responsibilities include handling inquiries, processing applications, managing move-ins and move-outs, and ensuring timely rent collection and accurate reporting. The role will also involve conducting property inspections, monitoring vendor performance, assisting with budgets, and supporting compliance with local regulations and company standards. The Property Manager will collaborate with ownership and management to maintain high occupancy, resident satisfaction, and property performance in line with PEEK’s mission and growth strategies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in property management or real estate operations, preferably within multifamily assets.
- Strong skills in tenant relations, lease administration, and customer service, with a professional and solutions-oriented approach.
- Ability to coordinate maintenance, vendors, and construction activities, including scheduling, follow-up, and quality control.
- Competence in budgeting, rent collection, basic financial reporting, and use of property management software and MS Office tools.
- Knowledge of local housing regulations, fair housing practices, and building safety requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Capacity to work on-site, manage multiple priorities, and respond promptly to property and resident needs.
- High level of integrity, reliability, and accountability, aligned with PEEK’s focus on long-term value and community impact.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, real estate, or a related field is preferred; relevant certifications (e.g., CAM, ARM) are a plus.
