Neonatologist – Community Level III NICU with Lifestyle Balance (Daytona Beach, FL)
Responsibilities

- Balanced acuity in a smaller unit: Enjoy hands-on neonatal care with an experienced nursing team and 24/7 Neonatal Nurse Practitioner coverage, in a collegial, community-based setting
- Level III NICU Excellence: 14-bed unit with an average daily census of 8–10, caring for 2,000 newborns annually, including those born before 28 weeks and under 1,000 grams
- Integrated perinatal collaboration: Work shoulder-to-shoulder with OB hospitalists and on-site Maternal-Fetal Medicine colleagues (Regional Obstetric Consultants, part of Pediatrix) to streamline high-risk care and consults
- Quality that’s recognized: Halifax Health’s NICU team was named a Florida Perinatal Quality Collaborative (FPQC) Homeward Bound “All-Star” for advancing family-centered discharge readiness
