Responsibilities include assisting providers during exams, performing basic clinical procedures, and maintaining accurate patient records while adhering to confidentiality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome and escort patients; record medical history and vital signs.
- Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.
- Perform permitted clinical tasks (specimen collection, injections, venipuncture).
- Communicate instructions and schedule tests, treatments, and follow-ups.
- Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and sterilize instruments.
- Manage patient records, referrals, and incoming calls/messages.
- Support safe, high-quality care and excellent patient experience.
Qualifications:
Education & Certification:
- Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
- MA certification required (or must obtain within 6–12 months per state requirements).
- CPR certification required.
Experience:
- 1 years in an office-based healthcare setting preferred.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Ability to follow universal precautions and maintain OSHA and HIPAA compliance.
- Strong understanding of healthcare industry standards and patient safety
