The Pediatric Oncology Support Team, Inc. (POST) is dedicated to providing compassionate emotional and financial support to children with cancer and their families in six Florida counties, including Palm Beach, Martin, and St. Lucie. POST offers free, family-centered services to help families navigate the emotional, financial, and logistical challenges of a cancer diagnosis. The organization supports patients receiving care at local hospitals and offers a Financial Assistance Program to help families meet basic living needs. By addressing the holistic needs of children and their families, POST fosters resilience and hope during difficult times.
This is a full-time, on-site position located in West Palm Beach, FL. The Director of Development will lead and execute fundraising strategies, donor cultivation, and community engagement efforts to support POST’s programs and services. Daily responsibilities include planning and managing fundraising events, enhancing donor relations, researching funding opportunities, preparing grant proposals, and overseeing donor databases. The Director will collaborate with the leadership team to drive community awareness and engagement initiatives to further the organization’s mission.
- Proven experience in Fundraising, Donor Relations, and Event Management
- Strong skills in Grant Writing, Proposal Development, and Research
- Expertise in Communication, Public Speaking, and Stakeholder Engagement
- Proficiency in CRM Systems, Data Management, and Reporting
- Ability to lead strategic initiatives and develop community partnerships
- Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- Experience in working with healthcare-focused nonprofits or similar organizations is a plus
