Job Description
Pediatric Healthcare Associates is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our pediatric clinical team. This role is essential in supporting timely and accurate diagnostic services in a high-quality, child-centered care environment. We’re looking for someone who is interested in providing excellent patient and family-centered care, to patients from infancy through young adulthood. The candidate needs to be a team player and have a strong work ethic.
This full-time position requires working 30 to 37.5 hours per week (day shifts, evenings 5-8pm, possible weekends and holidays as needed – shift differentials are offered for working evenings, weekends, and holidays).

Qualifications
High school degree or equivalent
Previous experience working in a healthcare setting (preferably in pediatrics)
Experience in pediatric or clinical laboratory settings is highly preferred.
Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Effective interpersonal communication for collaboration with healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
Perform finger stick blood collections for pediatric patients in a clinical office setting.
Carry out routine laboratory tests including:
Hematology
Immunology
Urinalysis
Administer and interpret rapid infectious disease tests (Influenza, Strep, COVID-19).
Accurately document test results and promptly communicate findings to clinicians.
Conduct routine equipment quality control, participate in proficiency testing, and contribute to lab quality assurance.
Operate and maintain automated laboratory instruments:
Complete Blood Count (CBC) analyzers
Microscopes
Other diagnostic tools
Troubleshoot technical issues and ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards.
