Job Title: Medical Assistant (Full-Time - Minimum 30 Hours/Week)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and personable Medical Assistant to join our team. This full-time role offers a minimum of 30 hours per week, with a flexible schedule that may include occasional weekend hours (e.g 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM). The ideal candidate is reliable, team-oriented, and brings a positive, patient-focused attitude to every interaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist providers with patient care, examinations, and procedures
- Perform clinical tasks such as vital signs and specimen collection
- Manage patient intake, documentation, and follow-up care
- Coordinate referrals and ensure proper documentation and communication with specialists (preferable experience with Epic)
- Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) systems efficiently
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment
- Provide exceptional patient service with a friendly and compassionate approach
Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a Medical Assistant required
- Pediatric experience preferred
- Experience with patient referrals strongly preferred
- Familiarity with Epic or similar EMR systems preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive attitude, charismatic personality, and strong work ethic
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Flexibility to accommodate occasional weekend hours
