Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Dental Staff members (hygienist & assistants) to join our team at Pediatric Dentistry. This role is vital in delivering exceptional dental care to our young patients and supporting our mission of creating a comfortable and friendly environment for children. The position is based in Maui, where you will contribute to the health and well-being of our community's children.
Responsibilities
- Assist the pediatric dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Maintain aseptic techniques and infection control protocols in accordance with industry standards.
- Prepare and manage dental instruments, materials, and equipment for patient treatments.
- Take digital x-rays and assist with medical imaging as required.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
- Educate patients and their families on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology relevant to dentistry.
- Experience with aseptic techniques and infection control practices.
- Familiarity with dental software such as Dentrix is a plus but not required.
- Ability to operate dental imaging equipment is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and team members.
