Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Nursing Assistant – Pediatric Care
Pediatric Complex Care of Arkansas (PCCA) is an intermediate care facility dedicated to children with complex medical needs. Education & Qualifications
- Must have completed at least high school or equivalent
- CNA certification preferred but not required; on-the-job training may be available for entry-level candidates
- Compassionate, patient, and attentive to the needs of medically complex children
CNA / Nursing Assistant Overview
Under the direct supervision of the Team Leader, the CNA / Nursing Assistant provides hands-on care to children with complex medical and developmental needs. Responsibilities focus on assisting with daily living activities (ADLs) and supporting overall health and wellness.
Certified Nursing Assistant Responsibilities
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, hair/skin/nail care, oral hygiene, and positioning
- Monitor bowel and bladder function and provide support as needed
- Facilitate active play, recreational programming, and therapeutic activities
- Provide compassionate care and emotional support to children
- Follow care plans and report changes in condition to the Team Leader
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary team members to ensure quality care
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents
- Perform other duties as assigned
