Duties

- Answer phone calls promptly, addressing inquiries or directing calls to appropriate staff members.
- Maintain patient files and records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with medical coding and billing processes as needed, utilizing knowledge of dental terminology.
- Coordinate appointments and manage the calendar for healthcare providers effectively.
- Handle medical collections and ensure proper documentation of payments received.
- Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies inventory.
Skills
- Strong administrative skills with attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role within a dental office or hospital setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with Dentrix software is a plus, along with knowledge of medical coding practices.
- Proficient typing skills to manage documentation efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Ability to multitask in a busy environment while maintaining professionalism and composure.
