What are the responsibilities and job description for the Diesel Dump Truck Mechanic position at Pedal Valves Inc?
RNK Construction is seeking an experienced full-time Lead Deisel Mechanic for Dump Trucks to join our team. We have a fleet of 35 Dump trucks and various types of machinery.
Responsibilities for heavy duty maintenance include:
- Preventative Maintenance such as services
- Tire Changeouts
- Perform brake work
- Perform A/C repairs
- Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy
- Diagnose vehicle problems based on driver complaints and inspection
- Examine assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended
- Troubleshoot and repair of lights, suspension, drive line, steering components, brake systems, fan hubs, differentials, change or recharge batteries, and replace transmissions and other duties as assigned.
- Lubricate moving parts and drive repaired vehicle to verify conformance to specifications
- Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
- Experience needed
Hours:
Afternoons and evenings once trucks arrive for the day.
Possible weekends if needed
