What are the responsibilities and job description for the Propane Service Technician position at Pecos Propane?
Pecos Propane has an immediate opening for a full-time propane Service Technician in Pecos, NM. The ideal candidate is highly safety-conscious and proficient at providing high-level client service. Pay rate can be discussed based on experience and certifications.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Install, maintain and repair propane systems and appliances in residential settings.
- Perform gas safety checks, ensure that company equipment and tank systems are safe and well-maintained
- Complete tank installations.
- Deliver propane when needed.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience working in a service department preferably in propane
Must have CDL Class B with hazmat and tanker endorsements and a clean driving record
Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical (conducted at our occupational health provider’s location)
Must meet employment eligibility standards set for background check
Be able to work outside in adverse weather and ground conditions, be dependable and able to work a flexible schedule with possible after-hours emergency calls, and must communicate clearly and effectively.
Per DOT regulations, a condition of employment includes passing a drug screen and an MVR to check driving record.
