What are the responsibilities and job description for the Propane Customer Service Representative position at Kit Carson Propane?
As a Customer Service Representative for Kit Carson Propane, you will act as a liaison, provide information, answer questions, and resolve any emerging problems that our customer accounts might face with accuracy and efficiency.
What You'll Do:
- Providing introductory information to new customers.
- Ensure customers are satisfied with products or services.
- Following up with customers to check that they’re still satisfied with service.
- Let customers or clients know about additional products or services.
- Determining the quickest, most effective ways to answer a customer’s questions.
- Escalating queries and concerns.
- Troubleshooting common issues.
- Process and post payments to customer accounts.
- Daily reconciliation of cash receipts.
- Filling and requalify outdated propane cylinders.
- Must have or gain appropriate knowledge of information required during the propane application process.
- Must be able to take propane orders and determine propane order needs based on the size and percentage of the tanks.
- Must learn the various types of accounts (Will Call, Auto-Fill, Metered Accounts) and payments needed.
- Must be able to calculate and prepare yearly budgets for budget customers and know which types of customers are or are not eligible for the budget program.
- Filing and typing duties.
- Answering phone calls and relaying messages in a timely manner
- Other duties as needed.
What you bring:
- Must have or obtain an LP09 Classification within 90 days of employment for filling various sizes of propane cylinders up to 100 pound cylinders.
- Interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Multitasking and organizational skills.
- Ability to answer a high volume of calls and/or emails daily.
- Ability to share work among a customer service team.
- Attentiveness and patience
- Time-management skills.
- Ability to find the positive in any situation.
- Cashiering experience (preferred)
- Bottle/Cylinder filling experience (preferred)
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) (preferred).
