What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead position at Peco Pallet?
Job Summary:
Lead is responsible for ensuring that the building meets its production objectives and is operating in a safe and efficient manner.
Essential Duties:
• Track hourly production and ensure that hourly targets are met by both operators and line.
• Collect and track production and damage rate numbers.
• Track employee attendance.
• Train new operators on the PECO quality spec and how to sort and repair pallets if trainer is unavailable.
• Ensure that all operators have proper tools and equipment to complete their job.
• Ensure that all operators are working in a safe and efficient manner.
• Clean or report any contamination or potential food safety issues for customers.
• Ensure all employees are using proper PPE.
• Complete all daily paperwork (OIS, RFU/WIP audits, Audit the Auditor, dumpster dives, etc.)
• Communicate any issues on floor to supervisor/manager.
• Communicate with employees to resolve any issues or discrepancies.
• Other duties as assigned.
Education, Skills and Experience:
• Graduation from an accredited high school or General Education Development (GED).
• Good attention to detail and organizational skills are necessary.
• Ability to drive production with employees.
