Auto Sort Operator

Job Summary:  The Auto Sort Operator/Vision-X Operator is responsible for ensuring that Vision-X system is working properly and that all components are maintained and in good working order. This position is a production/productivity related position.

 Essential Duties:  

• Order entry of return loads into the HMI or Graphical user interface
• Removes dunnage from inbound pallets
• Clears jams in the system
  1. Tipper
  2. Flipper
  3. Vision Booths
  4. 3 Stackers
• Runs accumulation tipper
• Performs routine maintenance to ensure that photo lens and laser scanners are kept clean and functioning
• Monitors the system to accuracy issues and reports out as needed to correct the problem
• Other duties as assigned
• Learn, understand, and adhere to all PECO safety policies and procedures for the depot as well as for your role

Education, Skills and Experience:

• Graduation from an accredited high school or General Education Development (GED)
• Good attention to detail and organizational skills are necessary
• Good understanding of machine mechanics and how to make small repairs

 Physical Requirements:  

• Employee will need to be able to lift 65lbs repeatedly
• Employee will be standing most of the day
• Employee will periodically climb up and down stairs to clear machine jams

• Work is performed in a warehouse environment
• Dust associated with pallet repair operations
• Noise associated with pallet repair operations
