The Cage Shop Repairman is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and rebuilding poultry cages and related equipment to ensure reliable, safe, and efficient farm operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect cages for damage, wear or safety hazards.
- Replace/repair any damage found.
- Ensure cages are safe, functional and compliant with Animal Welfare standards.
- Adhere to safety requirements and policies, including proper use of PPE
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be self-motivated and work well alone
- Must be able to weld, use cutting torch/plasma cutter and hand tools.
- Must be able to use a tape measure and square.
- Able to run a fork lift and climb a ladder.
- Physical stamina to lift, bend, and work outdoors in varying conditions.
