About The Role
As a Cost Reporting Intern, you'll work directly with our Healthcare Reimbursement & Cost Reporting team during one of the firm's most active periods of the year. You'll gain valuable, hands-on experience supporting Medicare and Medicaid cost reporting and reimbursement compliance work, and learn how to apply your academic knowledge to real-world scenarios in a fast-paced professional setting.

As a Cost Reporting Intern, you'll work directly with our Healthcare Reimbursement & Cost Reporting team during one of the firm's most active periods of the year. You'll gain valuable, hands-on experience supporting Medicare and Medicaid cost reporting and reimbursement compliance work, and learn how to apply your academic knowledge to real-world scenarios in a fast-paced professional setting.
What You’ll Do
- Assist in the preparation of Medicare & Medicaid cost reports and reimbursement compliance schedules
- Organize and analyze financial and statistical data received from healthcare clients
- Conduct basic research on healthcare reimbursement regulations and guidance
- Communicate with team members to resolve open items and gather additional documentation
- Prepare supporting workpapers in accordance with firm standards
- Utilize cost reporting software and internal systems
- Support the team in meeting important filing deadlines and client deliverables
- The experience gained as an intern during "busy season" is the equivalent of a first-year associate
What We’re Looking For:
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
- Progress towards CPA eligibility a plus, but not required
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Availability to work up to 40 hours per week, with the potential for overtime
- Eagerness to learn, grow, and contribute to a team-oriented environment
