Automotive Technician — Toyota Experience Strongly Preferred

This Is a Rare Opportunity. We don't hire often because we're committed to building and keeping a strong team. We're looking for the right technician—someone who shares our commitment to ethical repairs, efficiency, professionalism, and doing the job right the first time.

Toyota dealership experience is strongly preferred, and Toyota-experienced technicians will receive special consideration. If you've worked in a Toyota dealership and understand Toyota's systems, diagnostic processes, repair procedures, and standards, we'd especially like to talk with you.

Not a Toyota technician? That's okay. We're also interested in experienced technicians from other manufacturers who have strong diagnostic, electrical, and mechanical skills and are looking to build a long-term career with a quality-focused dealership.

Toyota experience is preferred. Toyota certification will be required, with training provided to help the right candidate achieve it.

We're not simply looking to fill a position. We're looking for someone who wants to become a long-term member of our team.

Why Pearson Toyota?

  • Family-owned dealership: We're a family-owned store, not a large corporate chain. We value our employees, our customers, and building a strong team for the long term.
  • Weekly weekday day off: Our main shop operates on a revolving weekday day off every week, giving our technicians more flexibility and work-life balance.
  • Modern, air-conditioned shop: Work in a newer, climate-controlled facility with modern equipment, including current Hunter brake, alignment and tire service equipment.
  • Better maintenance labor times: Our general maintenance labor times are usually higher than typical industry standards, giving technicians a better opportunity to earn while performing quality work.
  • Toyota training and certification: We invest in our technicians with ongoing Toyota and ASE training. For technicians coming from another manufacturer, we'll support the training needed to become Toyota certified.
  • Quality-focused shop: We believe in doing the job right the first time. We value honest repairs, accurate diagnostics, efficiency, and professionalism.

What You'll Do

  • Perform repairs according to Toyota manufacturer and dealership standards.
  • Complete inspections, maintenance, and warranty repairs.
  • Accurately document repair orders and recommendations.
  • Work closely with advisors and parts personnel to ensure timely repairs.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Continue developing Toyota-specific knowledge through ongoing training.

Qualifications

  • Previous professional automotive technician experience required.
  • Toyota dealership experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability and willingness to complete Toyota training and achieve Toyota certification required.

  • State Inspection License preferred.
  • ASE Certifications preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Must be able to pass drug screening.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a positive team environment.
