What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembly Technician position at Pearse Bertram?
SUMMARY
The Assembly Technician, Level I will complete and test assemblies that are mechanical in nature, based on generated work orders. This position reports to the Production Supervisor-LA.
JOB DUTIES
· Read and understand prints, symbols and schematics, work instructions, prints, sketches and verbal instructions.
· Check all work orders, work instructions and job files for accuracy and ensure jobs are sent on time.
· Assemble jobs mechanical in nature, including but not limited to: drilling, tapping, securing components using wrenches, screwdrivers, hand crimpers etc.
· Build simple wire harnesses, stripping of wire and crimping of connectors.
· Check all work orders, work instructions and job files for accuracy and ensure jobs are sent on time.
· Inspect and test all jobs to ensure all components function correctly.
· Wrap fittings with Teflon tape.
· Complete necessary documentation for each job.
· Notify Production Supervisor of needed tools and supplies.
· Keep work area clean and safe.
· Comply with ISO policies and procedures.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
· High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
· Working knowledge of ISO 9001: 2015 working environment.
· Experience operating semi-automatic wire processing and/or tube cutting machines.
· Must have basic math and measuring skills.
· Must have experience with hand tools and power tools.
· Knowledge and understanding of fittings, valves, manifolds and pressure gauges.
· Knowledge of, or willingness to learn 5S.
· Ability to work independently.
· Must be able to read, write and speak English.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
· Lifting required of up to 50lbs unassisted and over 50lbs with lifting aides.
· Continuous assembling of parts and reaching/working overhead.
· Frequently stands, walks, sits, climbs, pushes, pulls, and carries items.
· Work environment subject to seasonal temperature variations.
· Possess the dexterity to assemble complex and precision components.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
