PearlTea Cedar Falls is looking for a Barista to prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including various types of teas. Barista responsibilities include educating customers on our drinks menu, making recommendations based on their preferences, up-selling special items and taking orders. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience making hot and cold beverages and an ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers as they enter
- Give customers drink menus and answer their questions regarding ingredients
- Prepare beverages following specific procedures
- Serve beverages, food, and desserts according to specifications
- Keep the bar area clean - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
- Comply with health and safety regulations
- Manage the bar area with attention to cleanliness and inventory
- Up-sell additional products or special offers (e.g. birthday parties)
- Take orders by standing or sitting at the counter while scanning cash and credit cards
- Receive payments (cash and credit cards)
- Comply with security and safety procedures due to the nature of the position
- Perform other duties as assigned (e.g. cleaning)
Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Barista preferred but not required
- Must be able to work well in a team environment
- Must be able to work well without supervision
- Must be able to provide excellent customer service
- Must be able to keep time-and-a-half shifts when multiple shifts overlap
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
