Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages including cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic options, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to enhance their overall experience.
- Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process orders accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety standards and sanitation regulations.
- Develop new beverage recipes and suggest drink pairings to elevate guest satisfaction.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, process payments, and balance registers at shift end.
- Monitor inventory levels of alcohol, mixers, garnishes, and supplies; restock as needed to ensure smooth operations.
Skills
- Proven experience with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS; strong cash handling skills.
- Extensive cocktail knowledge with expertise in mixology techniques and beverage recipe development.
- Familiarity with fine dining service standards and banquet or catering experience is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly while maintaining professionalism.
- Knowledge of wine varieties, spirits, craft beer trends, and beverage presentation techniques.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy hours.
- Basic math skills for retail math calculations such as change making, inventory counts, and sales tracking.
- Experience in food handling, food safety protocols, and responsible alcohol service practices within the hospitality or food industry.
