Position Summary
We are looking for an energetic Part-Time Recreational Coach to teach beginner and intermediate classes (ages 18 months–17 years of age). You will deliver engaging, technically sound lessons that follow our in-house curriculum and USA Gymnastics Recreational Program guidelines while maintaining a positive, safety-first environment.
Key Responsibilities
Instruction & Safety
- Lead 45-60 minute classes, warm‑ups, and circuits
- Spot skills and progressions correctly
- Enforce USAG SafeSport, concussion & equipment checks/protocols
Customer Care
- Greet athletes and parents
- Communicate w/parents and athletes
- Document attendance & skill charts in iClassPro
Team Support
- Set up / tear down equipment
- Assist with camps, clinics & birthday parties
- Attend paid staff trainings
- Facility cleanliness/maintenance
Minimum Qualifications
- Prior competitive or recreational gymnastics/tumbling experience (coaching preferred but not required)
- 16 yrs with reliable transportation
- Ability to complete SafeSport, Concussion, and USAG Instructor certification within 30 days
- Ability to complete CPR/First Aid certification
- Physically able to lift/move 50 lbs and actively spot athletes
- Must be able to pass a background check, including state and national criminal records, sex offender registry, and checks against the U.S. Center for SafeSport and USA Gymnastics Ineligible & Restricted Lists.
Preferred Qualifications
- USAG Recreational Coach or Preschool Fundamentals cert
- GoNinja or Fun & Fit Coach
- Experience teaching/coaching youth coursework
Schedule & Pay
- Hours: 8 – 15 per week; weekday afternoons/evenings, weekends
- Pay Range: $15 – $18 per hour (DOE & certifications)
