Pearl Gymnastics Center is a veteran-owned club committed to safe, fun, and inclusive movement education. We offer gymnastics and ninja-style programs built around USA Gymnastics’ best practices and GoNinja’s progressive curriculum. We help kids build strength, confidence, and character through active, engaging classes with a family-first culture so athletes of every ability discover confidence and a lifelong love of movement.
Position Summary
We are seeking a high-energy Go Ninja Instructor to lead dynamic classes that blend parkour, obstacle training, gymnastics, and martial arts. This role focuses on creating a structured, skill-building environment for children ages 3–15, promoting strength, agility, and confidence through themed circuits and games.
Key Responsibilities
Curriculum & Instruction
- Teach age-appropriate obstacle-based fitness classes
- Adapt drills to student needs and skill levels
- Track athlete progress and class records
Safety & Spotting
- Set up and tear down obstacle circuits safely
- Provide physical spotting for skills like rolls, vaults, and handstands
- Enforce safety standards and SafeSport protocols
Communication
- Communicate progress with caregivers
- Foster a culture of teamwork and growth
- Attend paid staff trainings and gym events
Minimum Qualifications
- Age 16 with reliable transportation
- Experience working with children in fitness, martial arts, or youth programs
- Ability to complete SafeSport, Concussion, GoNinja, and USAG Instructor certifications
- Ability to complete CPR/First Aid certification
- Physically able to lift/move 50 lbs and actively spot athletes
- Must be able to pass a background check, including state and national criminal records, sex offender registry, and checks against the U.S. Center for SafeSport and USA Gymnastics Ineligible & Restricted Lists.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ninja-style, parkour, tumbling, or strength/agility classes
- Familiarity with obstacle course setup and circuit planning
- Understanding of child development and classroom engagement
- Familiarity with iClassPro or similar software
Schedule & Pay
- Hours: 8 – 15 per week; weekday afternoons/evenings, weekends
- Pay Range: $15 – $18 per hour (DOE & certifications)
