We are seeking a highly motivated Commercial Sales Manager to drive revenue growth in the construction waste and portable sanitation markets. This role is responsible for planning, organizing, directing and coordinating the activities of the sales function developing new business, managing key commercial and construction accounts, and training, coaching outside sales representatives.
The ideal candidate is a strong relationship builder with experience selling into construction, industrial, or contracted service industries. This position combines strategic prospecting, consultative selling, and account management while working closely with operations to deliver exceptional service to customers.
This role reports to senior leadership and plays a critical role in achieving aggressive growth objectives within the region.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Revenue Growth
- Identify, prospect, and secure new business within construction, industrial, and commercial markets.
- Meet regularly with sales personnel to review sales activity, customer retention review sales performance to goal
- Develop and grow relationships with general contractors, developers, site superintendents, property managers, and project managers.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of major account opportunities.
- Develop strategic sales plans to achieve or exceed revenue targets.
- Deliver professional presentations, proposals, and service solutions tailored to customer needs.
- Identify large project opportunities and coordinate service execution with operations.
Account Management & Customer Success
- Manage and grow a portfolio of key accounts.
- Maintain strong long-term relationships with customers to drive retention and contract extensions.
- Identify opportunities for upselling additional services and expanding existing partnerships.
- Address and resolve customer concerns while ensuring a high level of service satisfaction.
Market Strategy & Growth
- Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and pricing dynamics.
- Support large bid responses and RFP submissions.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop strategies to expand market share in construction and event-related services.
- Work closely with operations to ensure smooth onboarding and service delivery.
Sales Operations
- Maintain accurate sales activity and pipeline tracking within CRM systems.
- Manage multiple opportunities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Provide market insights and feedback to leadership to improve overall sales strategy.
Qualifications
Experience
- 3–5 years of B2B sales management experience, preferably in construction, waste services, industrial services, or a related contracted service industry.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
- Experience developing and managing major accounts or strategic clients.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
