What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Project Manager position at RNR Construction?
This position is a Jr. position, however there is much room for growth into a Sr. position.
The Project Manager (commercial/civil) is responsible for assisting in the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects. This role supports senior project management staff in ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. The Project manager will interact with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and team members to facilitate smooth project operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely completion of construction projects.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project requirements are met.
- Monitor construction progress and address any issues or delays with the senior project team
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and reports.
- Assist in obtaining necessary permits and approvals for construction activities.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure adherence to safety regulations and quality standards.
- Support the procurement process by sourcing materials and coordinating deliveries.
- Communicate project updates and progress reports to stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal construction regulations.
- Assist in resolving any disputes or conflicts that arise during the construction process.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 1-3 years of experience in commercial or civil construction.
- Knowledge of construction processes, materials, and project management principles.
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera, Microsoft Project).
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and construction regulations.
- Willingness to travel to job sites as required.
