Position Overview
Luna Rehabilitation is seeking compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our care team. In this role, you will provide direct, hands-on care to residents while supporting their daily living needs and promoting dignity, comfort, and overall well-being.
As a CNA, you will work under the direction of licensed nursing staff and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, person-centered care in a safe and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, eating, toileting, and ambulation
- Obtain and record vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respirations, and report abnormalities to nursing staff
- Observe resident behavior, mood, and physical condition, reporting any changes promptly to the supervising nurse
- Safely transfer residents between beds, wheelchairs, and other surfaces using proper lifting and transfer techniques
- Maintain resident hygiene, including oral care, incontinence care, and changing bed linens as needed
- Assist with meal service and provide support with feeding when required
- Accurately document all care provided in accordance with facility policies and regulatory standards
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff regarding resident needs, concerns, and changes in condition
- Follow safety protocols to prevent falls, injuries, and other risks to residents
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance residents’ quality of life
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the State of New Mexico, in good standing with no findings on the Nurse Aide Registry
- Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills within a healthcare environment
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to observe, report, and respond appropriately to resident needs
