Role Description

The High School Engineering Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons that inspire students to explore engineering concepts and principles. This full-time, on-site role in Boulder, CO involves designing curricula, teaching engineering and related STEM topics, fostering problem-solving and critical thinking skills, and assessing student learning. The teacher will also collaborate with colleagues, contribute to extracurricular activities, and maintain open communication with students, families, and staff to support student success.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Lesson Planning and curriculum design tailored to high school engineering education
  • Strong foundation in Engineering and Physics concepts, with the ability to make complex ideas accessible and engaging
  • Proven experience in Teaching with the capacity to manage classrooms and foster a positive learning environment
  • Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills to support collaboration with students, families, and staff
  • Background in Education, including a valid teaching license, or equivalent qualifications in a related field
  • Experience with project-based learning, hands-on activities, or integration of technology in the classroom is a plus
  • Commitment to fostering inclusion, equity, and excellence in education for all students
