Job Title: Operations Manager – Special AssetsReports to: Head of Business OperationsJob Overview: The Operations Manager – Special Assets plays a critical role in managing court-appointed receivership and REO portfolios from initiation through resolution. This position oversees financial administration, legal coordination, stakeholder communication, and operational compliance to ensure seamless execution of court-ordered directives to ensure that all receivership matters are executed efficiently, compliantly, and within established timelines.In addition to core receivership responsibilities, this position also provides secondary support to the organization’s contract management function, assisting with agreement tracking, coordination, and administrative oversight to ensure contractual obligations are properly documented, monitored, and aligned with operational objectives. Primary Responsibilities:· Receivership report writing and filling· Overseeing accounting department for all initial and ongoing financial funding and budgeting requirements· Conducting initial review and creation of Issues Memos for all receivership and REO draft agreements for the Director and Head of Business Operations to review and negotiate· Review and summarize court orders – transfer knowledge to all internal stakeholders, for operational compliance·  Attend all court hearings and follow up to receive final and stamped court orders / motions that result·  Send calendar invites for important reminders including court dates to internal team members·  Oversee all onboarding activities including bond administration, entity formation (when applicable), bank account and Yardi / related systems set ups· Interface and communicate directly with external Receiver and/or Plaintiff-Lender and/or Defendant-Borrower parties· Oversee and support 3rd party partners and internal property management resources (i.e. utility account and subsidy tenant set ups)Other Responsibilities:Assist with overseeing legal agreements across the board and operates at an enterprise levelReview ongoing correspondence and agreement negotiations to inform management of anything which may impact exposure to liability and/or internal operations.Schedule meetings with external counsel to go over documents as needed.Has a deep understanding of both Cross Street and Peak’s standard procedures and operations with specific focus on legal requirements, compliance, and insurance policies.Works closely with and supports the Transitions and Agreements Team.Understands nuanced variables in business transactions or new agreements.Finds inconsistencies in transactions, summarizes how each inconsistency affects the business, and communicates the issue to the effected partyWorks on multiple deals simultaneously between companiesEnsures legal documentation is up to date and organizedQualifications:· Must hold Bachelor’s degree (field preferred: law, business, communication, or related field)· Preferred 5 years as a legal assistant OR 2 years as a paralegal specializing in real estate law or foreclosure litigation· Must have strong reading and writing skills.· Must be a strong communicator and critical thinker· Comfortable handling multiple projects simultaneously· Comfortable engaging with, researching and understanding legal contracts· Possesses a fundamental understanding of business concepts.Availability and Work HoursMust be available during standard business hoursMust review emails and take phone calls during off hours as neededMust be able to work in person at least four days a weekPhysical Requirements:Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.Company DescriptionPeak Properties cares about their employees and the work that they do. Salary : $70,000 - $90,000
