Carpenter / Helper

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Carpenter / Helper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in various carpentry techniques and construction practices, with the ability to work collaboratively on diverse projects. This role involves assisting in the construction, installation, and repair of structures and fixtures, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in framing, trim carpentry, and fixture installation according to blueprints and schematics.
• Perform tasks related to concrete forming, plastering, and siding installation.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various carpentry tasks.
• Engage in heavy lifting as required for transporting materials or equipment on-site.
• Participate in restoration projects including water damage restoration, mold remediation, and general repairs.
• Collaborate with team members on construction site activities while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
• Read and interpret construction plans to ensure accurate execution of projects.
• Support additional tasks such as cabinet installation, door hanging, flooring installation, tile laying, plumbing, electrical work, masonry, and roofing as needed.

Requirements

• Proven experience in carpentry or related fields such as maintenance person services or the restoration industry.
• Familiarity with construction estimating and project management is a plus.
• Proficiency in using various hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Strong understanding of woodworking techniques and materials.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical labor for extended periods.
• Knowledge of rebar installation, metal stud framing, CNC fabrication, assembly processes, and construction painting is advantageous.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: Up to $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
