Carpenter Job Description
Revive General Contracting is looking to hire a skilled Carpenter who will be responsible for the execution of all carpentry work on site. He/she will oversee the completion of all tasks related to the construction, repair, and maintenance of buildings, fixtures, and other structures. He/she will inspect all work done by the project team to ensure that it conforms to certain specifications, provide regular progress updates to the Project Manager and help solve project-related problems.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in carpentry work, tile, cabinet install, finish trim, flooring, drywall/taping, light plumbing, light electrical, as well as strong time management and communication skills.
Carpenter Responsibilities:
- Perform all carpentry duties required, including both rough and finish carpentry.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements.
- Inspect roofs, floors, walls, ceilings, windows, doors, frames, trim work, stairs, railings etc. for conformance to building codes and safety regulations.
- Operate power saws, jointers, shapers, routers, sanders and other woodworking machines.
- Maintain accurate records of all work done by the project team.
Carpenter Skills & Qualifications Needed:
- High school diploma or GED.
- A minimum of 4 years’ experience as a carpenter.
- Valid driver's license and own transportation.
- Proven experience in residential remodeling and/or construction.
- Sound knowledge of safety standards and procedures, building codes and building materials.
- The ability to safely operate power tools.
- The ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.
- Excellent time management, communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
