What are the responsibilities and job description for the Executive Functions Coach (Grades 6–10, Hybrid Part-Time) position at Peak Academics?

Are you passionate about helping students become more organized, independent, and confident? We’re hiring experienced Executive Function Coaches to support students in Grades 4–9 through a combination of in-home and remote sessions. We serve families across Scottsdale, Phoenix, and Paradise Valley and take a whole-child approach that blends academic coaching with practical life skill development.
This flexible, part-time role is perfect for educators who are highly skilled in executive function development and enjoy working 1:1 with students. We build your caseload based on your availability and client needs, typically 5–15 hours/week during after-school and early evening hours.

What You’ll Do:
- Provide 1:1 coaching (combination of in-home and virtual sessions) to help students develop key executive function skills: Time management, Organization, Task initiation, Planning and Prioritizing, Study Skills and Self-Monitoring
- Guide students in creating systems to manage assignments, long-term projects, and daily routines
- Support emotional regulation and stress-reduction strategies tied to academic challenges
- Communicate regularly with parents and collaborate on home-based supports
- Adjust strategies based on student learning profiles, including ADHD, anxiety, or learning differences
- Celebrate progress and promote self-awareness and ownership of learning
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education
- AZ teacher certification
- Significant training and experience supporting students with executive function challenges (Grades 6–10)
- Strong understanding of neurodiverse learners (e.g., ADHD, anxiety, learning differences)
- Proven ability to build rapport and trust with students and families
- Whole-child, skill-building approach that fosters long-term independence
- Excellent communication and coaching skills
- Comfortable using digital tools for virtual sessions (e.g., Zoom, Google Docs, shared calendars)
- Reliable transportation for local in-home coaching sessions
- Valid fingerprint clearance card (or willingness to obtain)
