Job Description:
Shifts: 7:30pm-8am

Security personnel protect our premises, assets and personnel. This employee will maintain a high visibility presence and prevent all illegal and inappropriate actions.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

- Protect company’s property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment
- Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances
- Act lawfully in direct defense of life or property
- Immediately report security breaches to designated law enforcement agents
- Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences
- Report in detail any suspicious incidents
- Patrol randomly or regularly building and perimeter
- Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates
- Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment
- Assessing nature and extent of emergency situations and need for additional assistance
- Mitigating incidents by helping to control crowds, protecting valuables and performing other duties
- Assisting any persons in building or grounds needing direction or campus information
Qualifications:
- High School diploma, GED or suitable equivalent
- Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment
- Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols
- Surveillance skills and detail orientation
- Integrity and professionalism
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
This job may require lifting of objects that exceed 25lbs. With frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10lbs.
Other physical demands that may be required are as follows:
- Pushing and/or pulling,
- Stooping and/or kneeling
- Running, walking, climbing, and/or balancing
- Reaching
- Talking
- Hearing
- Seeing Temperament
- Adaptability to performing a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure Adaptability to accepting responsibility for the direction, control or planning of an activity Adaptability to generalizing, evaluation, or decisions based on sensory or judgmental criteria

- At least 1 year of Security experience
- High School diploma, GED or suitable equivalent
- Ability to operate CCTV systems, security software and emergency equipment
- Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols
