Mental Illness is more prevalent than ever after all we have endured since 2020. As the leading (and largest) free-standing psychiatric hospital in Georgia, Peachford is here to help. We are looking for Registered Nurses who have experience or an interest in Mental Health Nursing to help us on our mission to meet the needs of our community.

Peachford has been a leader in behavioral health and addictive disease treatment since 1973. Our 246 bed hospital treats nearly 10,000 children, adults and seniors every year who come seeking the best psychiatric care available and we are looking for a master's prepared therapist that can provide services both in our Child and Adolescent Program - Next Time and in our Adult Services Program. We are looking for candidates who are dedicated and committed to providing the highlest level of compassionate of care. Our hospital is located on a 38 acre wooded campus in the Dunwoody neighborhood of North Atlanta and over 500 incredibly talented employees call us home.

Our Crisis Stabilization Units have several staff nurse positions open on a variety of shifts and includes an additional ICU pay differential in additional to other incentives for working with this high acuity population.

Charge Nurse roles are also available.

Qualifications

We train you to be the best, but there are a few minimum requirements for this position:

Education

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program

Experience

  • Prefer one year of nursing experience

Certifications/Licensure

  • State of Georgia or eCompact MultiState Nursing License

Other Helpful Skills

  • Written and oral communication skills.
  • Skills in case management.
  • Skills in time management.
  • Knowledge of acute psychological disorders, and advanced principals of abnormal psychology.
  • Familiarity with follow-up resource services available to patients.
  • Skills in maintaining information as highly confidential.
  • Ability to treat all age populations as needed or have the capacity to develop skills through the organization’s cross-training and orientation program.
  • Ability to clearly summarize pertinent clinical information via written correspondence and medical records documentation.
