Full Time (0.90 FTE) | Evening position

What if your next MRI position offered advanced technology, real time off, and no call responsibilities?

Most MRI jobs promise balance.

Then the phone rings on your day off.

Plans change. Family dinners get interrupted. Weekend trips become "maybe." Recovery turns into availability.

This role is different.

At PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend in Springfield, Oregon, you'll perform advanced MRI imaging on Siemens 1.5T and 3T systems, care for a diverse patient population, and continue building expertise in one of the Pacific Northwest's leading referral centers.

And when your shift ends?

You're done.

No call responsibilities. No wondering whether you'll be called back in. No keeping your phone close "just in case." No sacrificing your personal life for schedule gaps.

Instead, you'll enjoy a rotation that provides multiple stretches of consecutive days off throughout the month, including every other weekend completely free. The schedule creates something increasingly rare in healthcare: the ability to make plans and trust they'll happen.

The clinical work is equally rewarding.

RiverBend serves patients with a wide range of imaging needs, giving MRI professionals exposure to complex exams that challenge skills, expand expertise, and keep every day interesting. You'll work alongside experienced caregivers who understand that excellent imaging starts with both technical precision and compassionate patient care.

What makes this opportunity even more meaningful is the culture behind it.

PeaceHealth is a person-first, values-driven, highly trusted organization that understands something simple but important: caregivers deserve the same level of care, respect, and support that patients receive. The commitment to people isn't a slogan here. It's reflected in how schedules are built, how teams support one another, and how careers are developed over the long term.

Because outstanding MRI technologists deserve more than another job.

They deserve a place where their expertise is respected and their life outside work is protected.

Schedule Highlights:

Week 1:

  • Monday-Wednesday: 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
  • Thursday-Friday: OFF
  • Saturday-Sunday: 10:00 am-10:30 pm

Why You’ll Love This Role

  • No call responsibilities, allowing your time off to truly belong to you.
  • Work on both Siemens 1.5T and Siemens 3T MRI systems.
  • Multiple stretches of consecutive days off throughout the month.
  • Every other weekend is completely free
  • Exposure to complex and varied MRI exams in a major regional referral center.

Who Thrives Here

  • Professionals who value balance as much as clinical excellence.
  • People who enjoy solving imaging puzzles and adapting to unique patient situations.
  • Caregivers who create calm and confidence for anxious patients.
  • Long-term thinkers looking for a career home rather than a temporary stop.
  • Team-oriented professionals who appreciate a culture built on respect and trust.

Why You’ll Love Living Here

  • Springfield and neighboring Eugene offer a lifestyle that feels increasingly difficult to find.
  • Shorter commutes mean more time at home and less time in traffic.
  • Outdoor recreation is part of everyday life, not a vacation plan.
  • Access hiking, cycling, rivers, mountains, and the Oregon Coast within easy reach.
  • Strong schools and family-friendly communities support long-term stability.
  • Housing is generally more attainable than many major West Coast metro areas.
  • The lifestyle encourages balance, whether that means outdoor adventure, family time, or simply slowing down.

What you’ll do

Perform all routine and specialized MRI procedures by integrating medical knowledge and technical skills with effective patient interaction to provide quality patient care and accurate diagnostic information.

What You'll Bring

You're already comfortable balancing technical excellence with compassionate patient care. The strongest candidates bring:

  • Strong understanding of MRI and radiology terminology, imaging procedures, anatomy, physiology, and cross-sectional anatomy.
  • Confidence performing venipuncture and supporting patients through a variety of imaging experiences.
  • Ability to adapt care based on a patient's age, stage of development, and individual needs.
  • Working knowledge of PACS/RIS systems and MRI-related computer applications.
