POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, this position coordinates the movement of product to designated customer. This position requires attention to detail, working in computer applications, and communicating between necessary parties. The warehouse supervisor will be the back-up person.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follows standard operating procedures (SOP).
- Receiving, tracking and delivering product on time to the correct location.
- Pulling, packing, loading of product from one location to another.
- Operates forklift to unload freight into and out of Warehouse.
- Complete required paperwork and logs
- Enter and update information in computer applications
- Operate truck scale for tanker receipts
- Assists other shipping personnel and quality assurance to obtain samples, product segregation, and reworking of product
- Assist in hold and customer complaint process
- Create and completes required paperwork, reports, and logs.
- Performs physical count of inventory, reconciles actual stock count, and resolves discrepancies
- Performs physical inventory audits.
- Completes inventory transactions in WMS
- Provides inventory reports to the supervisor.
- Maintains inventory system.
- Create and verifies the accuracy and availability of all products and documentation.
- Ensures that correct security procedures are observed regarding incoming & outgoing product.
- Properly prepares necessary documentation for all shipments and receipts.
- Adheres to regulatory & Peace River Citrus Products procedures.
- Interacts with representatives of common carriers and railroads.
- Back-up Forklift Operators and relive for breaks.
- Consolidate product as needed
- Uses a forklift safely and operate forklift in tight spaces.
- Work in various storage areas to include cooler and freezer
- Train other operators
- Meets all “Good Manufacturing Practices”.
- Practices safety requirements established by OSHA and Peace River Citrus Products.
- Comply with FDA, USDA, and GMP policies. Perform all tasks in a safe manner to ensure achievement of Quality, Food Safety, and Cost objectives. Comply with all standard operating procedures and requirements under PRCP Quality System.
- Participate in the quality improvement process.
- Maintain work areas in a clean and orderly manner
- Be available to work extended shifts and days.
- Any additional duties assigned by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Average knowledge of computer functions on a keyboard and computer systems
- Accuracy and quality of work is a priority
- 3 years’ experience in inventory control, shipping, or logistics related field, excluding forklift
- 3 years’ experience driving a sit-down electric forklift
- Able to read, write, speak, and comprehend English fluently
- Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment
- Excellent physical condition and coordination
- Good visual and hearing ability including depth perception
- Ability to move on and off of forklift repeatedly
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- 3 years’ experience using RF scanning equipment
- 3 years’ experience using Warehouse Management Systems
- Valid certification to operate forklifts or ability to obtain one
- Utilizes advance skills of reading, writing, speaking, analytical capacity and high level of professional judgment to resolve problems affecting work area.
- Applies communication skills to perform work and coordinate with others.
- Works with computers and other electronic communication devices; including programs to prepare documents or reports, as necessary.
- Ability to take prompt and appropriate response to operating conditions.
- Ability to work in various storage areas with extreme temperature ranges
- Work with other department leadership & employees, including senior level management.
- Be flexible regarding duties, as directed by leadership.
