The Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) is recruiting to fill an Information Technology Specialist I (ITS I) position in the Computer Services Bureau.

This position is located at POST headquarters in West Sacramento, CA. The office is located in a two-story building with a business park setting.

Regular and consistent attendance is critical to the successful performance of this position.

This position is Hybrid and may be eligible for telework, in accordance with the Statewide Telework Policy, and will be required to report to the office as needed/required. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment.

Statement of Qualifications Requirements

A Statement of Qualifications is required and must be submitted with your State application. The Statement of Qualifications must address all specified questions and be typed, no more than two pages in length, single-spaced, using 12-point Arial font. Each question must be listed followed by its response. Answers must be clear, complete, and specific.

1. Please describe your work experience as an application developer. Include examples of applications you have supported, your specific role in the software development lifecycle, and the tools, languages, or platforms you have used (e.g., .NET, APIs, SQL Server).

2. Describe your experience independently troubleshooting and resolving complex application, data, and performance issues. Include a specific example of a technical issue you encountered and the steps you took to resolve it.

3. Describe your experience gathering business requirements from stakeholders and translating them into system requirements, application designs, or mockups. Include a specific example of how you ensured the final solution met customer or business needs.

Salary : $78,156 - $126,444
