Position Overview
We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated 2nd/3rd Grade Combined Teacher to join our school family for the 2026–2027 academic year. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a deep commitment to Christian education and be willing to attend a Lutheran Doctrine course. Candidates should also possess excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with students and families
- Design and implement engaging lessons with clear learning objectives, Differentiate instruction to accommodate various learning styles
- Create, administer, and evaluate assessments (tests, quizzes, projects, etc.)
- Provide individualized support to students as needed
- Promote and enforce positive Christian discipline in the classroom and on the playground
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating learning environment, Communicate effectively with school leadership, colleagues, students, and parents
- Demonstrate professional appearance and demeanor
- Use proper oral and written grammar
- Attend faculty meetings and participate in school and church events, including Singing Sundays, Back to School Night, Open Houses, and professional development workshops
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in education or a related field (required)
- Prior teaching experience (1 year preferred)
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Willingness to support and promote the Christian mission of the school
- Commitment to ongoing professional and spiritual development
