What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kennel Technician position at Peace Love and Paws?
Job Overview
Join our team as a Kennel Technician and become a vital part of providing exceptional animal care and customer service. This position is not for someone who is nervous around large dogs. We work with dogs of all breeds and sizes, including powerful breeds such as Rottweilers, German Shepherds, Great Danes, Cane Corsos, Pit Bulls, and other large, energetic dogs. You must be confident, physically capable, and comfortable handling them safely.
This is also not a job where you spend all day playing with puppies. The majority of your shift will involve cleaning, supervising playgroups, feeding, and ensuring the safety of every dog in our care.
What we’re looking for with our team:
* Comfortable working with large, strong dogs
* Reliable with excellent attendance
* Able to work weekends and holidays
* Physically active and able to lift 50 pounds
* Calm under pressure
* Able to work independently and as part of a team
* Willing to clean throughout the day
Responsibilities:
* Supervise group play
* Clean kennels, yards, and common areas
* Feed and water dogs
* Administer medications when needed
* Monitor behavior and report concerns
* Help provide a safe, structured environment for every dog
Dog experience is a plus, but we care more about reliability, work ethic, and a willingness to learn.
If you’re looking for an active job where every day is different and you genuinely enjoy working with dogs of all sizes, we’d love to hear from you.
Join us in making a difference in the lives of animals and their owners! This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your animal care skills while working in a supportive team environment dedicated to compassionate pet care.
