What You'll Do
We currently have a permanent full-time position available for a Senior QA Analyst, based out of our Edmonton office. This role participates in the development, improvement and maintenance of QA practices at Peace Hills. The Senior QA Tester coordinates workflow among the testing team, ensuring fair and equitable distribution of work, while also completing active test cases. More specifically:

What You'll Do
We currently have a permanent full-time position available for a Senior QA Analyst, based out of our Edmonton office. This role participates in the development, improvement and maintenance of QA practices at Peace Hills. The Senior QA Tester coordinates workflow among the testing team, ensuring fair and equitable distribution of work, while also completing active test cases. More specifically:
- Execute manual and automated test cases, documenting results and evidence;
- Identify, track, and resolve defects through retesting and validation of end-to-end workflows and integrations;
- Prepare and support testing activities by managing test data and validating test environments for readiness;
- Review business requirements and ensuring they are clear, testable, and well understood;
- Develop and review test plans, scenarios, and test cases, ensuring adequate coverage;
- Coordinate QA team activities and assigning work based on priority, capacity, and urgency;
- Monitor daily testing progress and ensuring timely execution and completion of activities;
- Actias the primary QA contact for defect management, coordinating triage, tracking, and resolution across teams;
- Support and improve QA processes, standards, and testing practices, identifying risks and escalating issues early;
- Analyze test results and metrics, preparing test and status reports, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure quality outcomes;
- 5 years of experience;
- Experience using test management tools (i.e. Jira, Team Foundation Server or similar) and automated testing tools;
- Experience in highly regulated industry, financial services or insurance is an asset;
- Post secondary education in a related field;
- ISTQB Certification or working towards is an asset;
- Guidewire certification is an asset;
- Strong organizational and time management skills;
- Demonstrated understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC);
- Demonstrated understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC);
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive, curious mindset;
- Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment;
- Strong balance of hands-on testing and team coordination;
- Ability to lead testing activities while actively executing assigned test cases and ensuring timely delivery.
