Peabody Charter School announces a vacancy for a temporary elementary teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The position is open to qualified candidates within and outside the Peabody School. Peabody Charter School is an award winning independent charter school governed by its own Board of Directors. PCS became a charter school in 1992, but it has been proudly serving Santa Barbara since 1927 and has deep roots in the community. PCS is committed to providing all students with an education worth having, and our work centers around collaboration, communication, and community. 1. Letter of Introduction 2. Resume 3. Three recent letters of recommendation dated within the last 2 years – At least 1 from a current or former supervisor 4. Current California Credentials - Attach a printout with the detailed Document Number from the CTC website (do not attach the certificate) or status letter from credential analyst confirming credential recommendation by August 1, 2026 5. CLAD or other English Learner Authorization (The authorization may be embedded in your CA credential) 6. Transcripts (post-high school)
