Job Summary
Job Summary
Under the immediate supervision of an administrator and the general direction of a case manager, classroom teacher, specialist or therapist, assists in providing academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support to individual or small groups of students to enhance learning and foster inclusion and independence. Assignments within this job classification may be allocated across various general education and special education programs within the Charter, including mild/moderate support needs in classroom environments. Employment is 6 or 6.5 hours per day.
Requirements / Qualifications
Requires a high school diploma plus one of the following: Requires two years of college (48 units) OR Pass Peabody’s assessment that demonstrates knowledge and skills in assisting in instruction OR Pass the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST). An Associate’s degree is highly desirable.
