Responsibilities
- Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of guest rooms, hallways, public areas, and back-of-house spaces using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment
- Handle chemical agents safely by following proper procedures outlined in Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and hotel protocols
- Perform floor care tasks including vacuuming and detailed floor cleaning to ensure a spotless appearance
- Manage custodial duties such as trash removal, replenishing supplies, and ensuring sanitation standards are met across all areas
- Support hotel housekeeping management by restocking supplies and reporting maintenance or safety issues promptly
- Use cleaning equipment efficiently while adhering to safety guidelines for chemical handling and manual handling procedures
- Follow hotel emergency procedures to respond effectively to incidents or safety concerns
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles is preferred
- Knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and chemical handling protocols
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums safely and effectively
- Strong manual handling skills with the physical ability for heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members
- Prior hotel experience or hospitality background is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for qualified candidates
