In this role, your hands-on expertise will directly support the fabrication, repair, and prototyping of critical aerospace components—where quality, safety, and accuracy matter every time.This is a full-time, 6-month consulting opportunity based in Anaheim, California, offering steady hours, competitive pay, and the chance to contribute to innovative aerospace programs.About the RoleAs a Welder, you will perform TIG welding and repair work on stainless steel and steel components, supporting both production and R&D initiatives. Approximately 50% of the role may involve prototype welding projects, making this an excellent opportunity for welders who enjoy variety, technical challenges, and collaboration with engineering teams.What You’ll Do (Day-to-Day Responsibilities)Layout work requirements and gather equipment to perform repair and alteration welding operationsPerform TIG welding on stainless steel and steel components to required specificationsInspect welds for bead size, quality, and compliance with drawings and specificationsBlend, grind, and polish welds to ensure minimum wall thickness and finish requirements are metWork closely with Engineering on new R&D and prototype welding projectsInterpret and work from complex prints, drawings, redline changes, and process sheetsMeasure parts using calipers, micrometers, indicators, and gauges to verify dimensional accuracyFabricate, restore, and repair parts, including building up machined surfaces and repairing cracksComplete production documentation and sign work orders identifying operations performedMaintain and service welding equipment, identifying needs for repair or replacementAssist other team members with process tryouts and special assignmentsPerform physical tasks including bending, reaching, pulling, and pushingRequired QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED equivalentWelding Certificate – Level 1 GTAW (Stainless Steel), required2 years of TIG welding experience with stainless steel and steelAbility to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings (paper and digital)Proficiency using precision measuring instrumentsThis position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
