PDS Tech is partnering with a major aerospace leader to hire a GSE / Facilities Maintenance Mechanic who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. This is a temp-to-perm position with a guaranteed raise once you convert to permanent status.Location: Victorville, CA 92394Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PMPay Rate: 24.00 – 28.00/hr (Pay automatically increases upon conversion)Position OverviewIn this role, you will keep the facility and its equipment running at peak performance. You’ll handle everything from GSE and vehicle diagnostics to preventive maintenance, HVAC support, building repairs, and coordination with contractors. This is a crucial position supporting daily operations, safety compliance, and overall site reliability.Key Responsibilities• Perform inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on GSE, vehicles, forklifts, boom lifts, scissor lifts, and other lift equipment• Conduct preventive maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems• Support HVAC system upkeep including filter changes, routine checks, and basic diagnostics• Perform building maintenance including lighting repairs, plumbing fixture repairs, door/hardware adjustments, carpentry work, and general facility tasks• Troubleshoot and repair facility-related equipment and systems as directed by leadership• Coordinate with external contractors to ensure work meets industry standards• Conduct EHS and Quality audits and complete all required training• Update, track, and close work orders using MAXIMO or similar CMMS platforms• Operate hand tools and power tools such as drills, saws, grinders, and impact tools• Work overtime as needed to support operational requirementsRequired Qualifications• High School Diploma or GED• Minimum 5 years of experience in facilities, GSE, vehicle, or equipment maintenance• Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting ability• Certified to operate boom lifts and scissor lifts• Certified to operate a forklift up to 14,000 lbs• Experience using CMMS or maintenance management systems (MAXIMO preferred)• Effective communication and teamwork skills• Must be a US Person or Permanent ResidentPreferred Qualifications• Forklift operation certification up to 39,000 lbs• Knowledge of gasoline engine maintenance and minor repairsWhy Work With PDS Tech?• Temp-to-perm role with an automatic pay increase upon conversion• Opportunity to work for a top aerospace organization• Stable schedule and long-term career growth potential• Hands-on work across vehicles, lifts, HVAC, and building systemsPay Details: 24.00 to 30.00 per hour Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
