If you thrive at the intersection of hands-on testing, data-driven analysis, and cutting-edge aerospace technology, this is your opportunity to make a measurable impact.What You’ll Do Day to DayAs a Composite Materials Engineer, you’ll work under general direction to support new aircraft programs and ongoing material qualification efforts. Your responsibilities will include:Defining requirements for materials, parts, and processes used in aircraft manufacturingDeveloping, qualifying, and deploying new composite materials and processesSupporting testing activities for newly delivered aircraft, including material qualification and validation testingAnalyzing test data, compiling reports, and presenting findings to support engineering decisionsConducting failure analysis of materials, parts, or processes and implementing corrective and preventive actionsMaintaining compliance with contractual, quality, and regulatory requirementsManaging test and audit programs to qualify suppliersEvaluating emerging technologies and integrating them into production and engineering systemsUsing computer-based tools and systems as a primary part of daily workPromoting standardization across materials and process activitiesRegular and predictable attendance is required.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree and typically 5 years of experience in an engineering classificationor Master’s degree with typically 3 years of experienceor PhD with relevant engineering experienceStrong background in composite materials and materials qualificationExperience with materials testing, analysis, and report generationFamiliarity with materials allowables and data-driven decision-makingProven ability to work with computer-based engineering and production systemsThis position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
