PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a Leading Industrial Equipment Supplier to hire an Administrative Assistant
Location: Appleton, WI | Payrate: 17.50 | Part time; 8-16 hours per week
Your Role and Impact
As an Administrative Assistant, you will be a key driver in keeping the department organized, efficient, and responsive. Your work ensures smooth daily operations, supports employees and customers, and keeps critical processes on track. You will be the go-to person for administrative coordination, helping teams focus on delivering top-quality service and solutions.
What You’ll Do Every Day
Administrative Support: Manage and coordinate routine customer service matters and office administration
Payroll Assistance: Support payroll processes to ensure accuracy and timely completion
Shipping & Receiving: Coordinate office-related shipments and manage incoming and outgoing materials
Reporting & Presentations: Assist in creating reports, developing presentations, scheduling, and tracking key projects
Customer Service: Provide professional telephone support to employees and customers, resolving inquiries efficiently
Procurement: Manage department inventory, order supplies, and maintain stock levels
Mail & Correspondence: Review mail, reports, and correspondence and route to appropriate personnel
Vendor Communication: Maintain professional correspondence with external vendors regarding services
Meeting & Event Support: Assist supervisors in organizing departmental meetings and conferences
Team Backup: Act as a backup for the Customer Service representative when needed
Additional Duties: Perform other administrative or department-related tasks as assigned
What You Bring
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (associate or bachelor’s degree preferred)
Prior administrative or office support experience
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in customer service or supporting industrial equipment teams
Familiarity with payroll processes and basic office accounting
Experience coordinating with vendors and managing departmental inventory
Ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative team environment

Pay Details: 17.50 per hour
